What an unprecedented time we find ourselves in.
We hope this note finds you and your families safe, healthy and practicing social distancing.
Regarding the 2020 season, the Oakridge pool will be following the state guidelines established in the executive order slated to remain in place until June 10, 2020. Our tentative opening is scheduled between June 10 – 17. We will closely monitor guidelines Prince William County follows regarding opening parks and recreation areas and make adjustments if necessary, to ensure the safety of our members and lifeguards.
In the event that we are unable to open the pool this season, all paid members will be designated as “inactive” and only be charged a $50 fee for the season. If you have already paid the full amount of $450, you will be refunded, or you may elect to carry a credit over to next year’s dues. Please reach out to the Board members via email at oakridgeswimclub@gmail.com if you need to make payment arrangements.
Even if the pool does not open this season, there are basic costs to maintain the property, pay taxes, and pay the utilities. Luckily, we have some funds in a savings account to cover most of these costs, barring any major repair expenses.
Please remember your Board members are all volunteers and we are managing this to the best of our time and ability. If you would like to help, we are in need of new board member volunteers. The next board meeting will be held virtually on May 5th at 7pm, contact us for more information if you would like to attend.
